    Close Quarter Battle Mod (CQB-M)

    What Is CQB-M?

Close Quarter Battle Mod is an ArmA 3 modification that seeks to expand individual areas of the Close Quarter(s) Battle subject area. The scope of our modification is to:

    • Realistically increase the operational capabilities within this environment with additions such as Explosive Methods of Entry and other core features.
    • Make workarounds for the current engine issues when it comes to Close Quarter Battle.
    • Create entirely new and unique assets for the ArmA 3 community to experience.

This mod is not meant to be a singular fix or cure-all for ArmA's inherent engine issues when it comes to Close Quarter Battle. We are going to try to do our best to expand on this foundation. Wish us luck!

    Spoiler:

    Our Current Goals

We are currently developing the following:

    • Explosive methods of entry—including the use of flex linear charges, doorknob charges, open SLAP charges, and so forth.
    • Mechanical methods of entry—including the use of a sledgehammer, battering ram, hooligan bar, and others.
    • Ballistic methods of entry—including the use of breaching shotguns with breaching rounds, and more.
    • Room entry aids such as noise-flash distraction devices.

    Our Future Goals

Our goals for the future primarily focus around improving the individual aspects to Close Quarter Battle. Future goals potentially include the following:

    • Thermal methods of entry, including the use of PECU or BROCO units.
    • Muzzle collision detection and modeling.
    • Training rooms with multiple types of doors, targets and other objects.
    • Counter-terrorism units and weapons, including the well-known MP5.

    We Need Your Feedback!

This is a modification that seeks to expand the ArmA experience, and thus it may become a larger project for the team. We would appreciate your feedback through our Skype group. Please feel free to join. The link is listed below.

Just opened up ARMA3 after a few weeks of not playing it (and looks like a steam update my have broken most of my mods!).
Now getting a splash screen before I load the game and it seems to show only a small number of the mods I had previously installed mostly the ones I had loaded through steam workshop (I normally enable them in game after loading them into the main ARMA3 folder) - strangely the only ones that are showing appear to be ones I downloaded through steam - these now are appearing in my mods folder "ARMA3" main folder with a @at the start of the folder name (and only these are appearing in game) all my other mods are appearing as they would normally with a folder name and then a folder name starting with @ - but these are not showing up in game anymore so I cant enable them - anyone got any ideas??

    Hey guys,

I was wondering if it's possible to attribute the AFM to custom helicopters. While I love the Chinook and Black Hawk, I'm avoiding them because I feel like they'd be easier to fly than their official counterparts. Could one, say, attribute the Huron flight model to a CH47/HC4?

Forgive me if this has been asked/posted/done before, I did take a quick look.

    Good evening, everybody.

My friend has recently installed the ACRE mod in his ARMA2:CO. I helped him through the installation and configuration and everything worked just fine, but last night when I was hosting a session between us, his radios transmissions began to display a "stutter like" behavior, like if he wasn't holding CAPSLOCK (Transmit) button down, but tapping on it instead. Same thing with the TS3 Button (TAB) used for direct communication.

The funny thing is, as soon as he ALT+TABBED out of the game, he could transmit perfectly, as long as he had his cursor focused on another software which were not ARMA2.

We tried re-installing his TS3, without results, then we re-installed his @ACRE, finally solving the problem. The night went out without any other events.

Tonight we went for playing a session and there it was the same problem again. His transmission are being punctuated, like if he was TAPPING the CAPSLOCK instead of holding it down. I noticed back at TS3 and his Icon kept changing between "Transmitting" and "Idle" when he pressed "CAPSLOCK" or "TAB" down inside of the game, but as soon as he minimizes it, the transmission normalizes and I could understand him perfectly.

We Tried to re-install TS3 and @ACRE, but without success.

At first I thought it could be a problem of multiple TS3 keys interfering with each other, but he only have one assigned to transmit.

    I ran out of ideas.

    Could anybody help with this?

    Thankfully.
